Holochain/ How Nature Does Coordination without Consensus

The blockchain community has grappled with ways of overcoming the speed, cost, and scale limitations of global consensus. But maybe consensus itself is the problem.

In this talk, Matthew Schutte, director of communications for Holo, will describe how natural living systems make use of an alternative and truly peer-to-peer approach for building coherence and enforcing shared agreements. This different approach enables not only collaborations of greater speed, scale and efficiency, but enable anti-fragile organisms that become increasingly well adapted to their environment over time. In addition, Matthew will share how his team at Holo is applying these patterns to enable scaleable and fit-for-purpose peer-to-peer applications with Holochain
